What is a domain name?
A domain name or URL is the address that your site will be located
(For example, www.casanet.org is the National
CASA web site address.)
How do I get one?
If you don't currently have a registered domain name, EZ
Site Launch will help you obtain one. While purchasing
you will be prompted to give us your top 5 choices for your domain
name in order from 1 (Most Desirable) to 5. If choice #1 is available,
we will get that domain name for you. If #1 isn't available we
go to choice #2, then choice #3 if #2 is also not available, etc.
You will be alerted to the name that was available and registered
to you.
What is the best name for our organization?
We recommend you select a casayourcity.org or casayourcity.net.
For example if your Program was in Reno, NV we recommend
casareno.org as the domain you select. If the name you want isn't
available, we will help you find one that is.
What if the name I want isn't available?
We will contact you via e-mail if the name you want isn't available.
We will discuss potential names and then we will research availability
and get back to you with some options.
If I don't have a domain name, how much
does the domain name cost and who is it registered to?
A domain name is FREE for 1 year.
It is registered in your name with EZ SiteLaunch
as the Technical Contact. After domain name expires renewal fees
of $35 will automatically be charged
to your account for 1-year domain registration.
I already have a domain name, can I use
it and what are the costs? Yes, of course. However to use
an existing domain name with a CASAWEBSITE
template, you will have to modify your DNS to point to an EZ
SiteLaunch Name Server. A more detailed explanation on
how to modify your DNS will be sent to you after account set-up.
Transfer fees are included with your site set-up fee.
